Ⅰ How to choose aluminum profiles?

Discriminate from the appearance, good quality aluminum profiles are generally full of color, cut surface neat, poor quality aluminum general surface color is relatively dull.

High-quality aluminum is flat and smooth, knock the surface with your hand, the general sound thick, low-quality aluminum is vice versa;

Doors and windows aluminum profile smallest nominal wall thickness should be not less than 1.2mm, regular wall thickness is generally 1.4mm and above;

With a smooth hard object to scratch the surface of the aluminum profile, produced a white scratch, and then gently wipe the hand and observe, high-quality aluminum is very easy to wipe off, low-quality aluminum surface of the oxide film thickness is generally less than qualified is difficult to wipe off.

Ⅱ What is aluminum profile surface treatment? Why surface treatment?

First of all, let's briefly recapitulate what the surface treatment of aluminum profiles is and why it is needed.

This is because when the aluminum extrusion is first extruded, it is called the base material and is an untreated bright silver color.

Without surface treatment of the substrate is not suitable for direct use in door and window products, one because the appearance does not look so good, two because there is no "protective layer" of aluminum to adapt to the environment, weather resistance is not good, vulnerable to erosion.

The most common surface treatment of aluminum profiles for doors and windows on the market for home decoration can be roughly divided into five: anodic oxidation, electrophoresis, powder coating, fluorocarbon spraying, wood grain transfer.

Ⅲ What is the difference between surface treatment processes? How to choose?

(1) Anodic oxidation:

Process: Aluminum or aluminum alloy products as the anode placed in an electrolyte solution, the use of electrolysis, so that the surface of the formation of aluminum oxide film process.

Features: Smooth surface, strong metallic texture, relatively less color.

(2) Electrophoresis:

Process: Take the products after anodic oxidation (coloring) as the anode, aluminum or stainless steel as the cathode, put it in the heat curing type acrylic transparent resin solution, under the action of the external electric field, the negatively charged paint particles move to the products, so as to form a layer of lacquer film with adhesive bonding on the surface of the product; Its purpose is to be more easy to save.

Features: Weather resistance is better than anodic oxidation, the surface is smooth, the appearance relative to anodic oxidation appears to be more bright, gorgeous some, but the paint film is easy to scratch.

(3) Powder coating:

Process: Change to brush particles seasoning way to color - powder spraying, also known as electrostatic spraying, is based on the physical phenomenon of electrophoresis, so that the atomized paint particles in the high-voltage electric field with a negative charge, and in the electrostatic field of the action of the directional flow to the surface of the positively charged profiles, so as to adhere to the formation of a solid film.

Features: More color choices, strong weather resistance.

(4) Fluorocarbon spraying:

Process: Polyvinylidene fluoride as the base material, and metal powder synthesis, with a metallic luster. In order to get the coating with excellent performance, two-layer or three-layer process is generally used.

Features: Equivalent to the upgraded version of "powder coating", the quality and durability will be higher, the color and "powder coating" are very close.

(5) Wood grain transfer printing:

Process: Paste a layer of penetration film printed with wood grain pattern on the surface of qualified aluminum after powder electrostatic spraying, and then draw a vacuum to completely cover the penetration film on the surface of the profile, and then make the ink on the penetration film transfer by heating and penetrate into the powder layer to achieve the effect of wood grain appearance.

Features: Wood grain appearance is loved by specific groups of people, representing all kinds of various sunrooms, but its weather resistance is actually not recognized, and it is more suitable for indoor profile decoration.

There is nothing to compare between "Anodizing, Electrophoresis" and "Spraying" except for the appearance.

Nowadays, powder coating is the most common for home decoration.

Other than that, it is important to know. Fluorocarbon spraying process is better than powder coating weather resistance, high cost, budget considerations for surface treatment can be more understanding, I think the standard should be, the need for additional equipment is not necessary. At the same time, "fluorocarbon gray" may describe the color, not the process.

The wood grain transfer printing is not recommended for sunroom or outdoor doors and windows, good-looking, but not enough weathering easy to fade.

You can choose which finish to use for the aluminum profiles according to your personal needs.
