1. Really must be customized?
If you want to customize aluminum profiles as the outer frame of the equipment, it is recommended not to customize, because the conventional industrial aluminum profiles are high-quality frame aluminum profiles, and the specifications are very much, almost can meet all the needs of the frame. And a complete range of accessories, a variety of connection methods for you to choose.
Some people may say my outer frame is not rectangular but polygonal, and industrial aluminum profiles are generally rectangular or square in cross-section. I can responsibly say that that's no problem, as long as the groove on the line, assembly is no pressure.
2. The thicker the custom aluminum profile, the better?
If you have to have custom aluminum profiles, it doesn't cost much to have them custom made. The moulding cost of aluminum profile is really super cheap compared to other moulds. Some custom aluminum profiles need to play a certain role in load-bearing, so the design drawings are designed to be particularly thick to acheive a greater load-bearing capacity. But I want to say that the wall thickness is not the thicker the better, on the one hand, the thicker the wall thickness the higher the price, the price of aluminum alloy itself is relatively high, which greatly increase the cost; on ther other hand, the thicker the wall thickness, the lower the hardness, such as we often do the 6063 aluminum profile extrusions, the hardness standard is 8-12HW, the wall thickness is super-thick hardness can only be achieved 8HW. Like our regular industrial aluminum profile extrusions wall thickness is 2mm, but it is designed it is very reasonable, can acheive high load bearing requirements.
3. Can we combine two profiles into one?
Some customers want to save some mould fee or have other ideas, there are more varieties of custom aluminum profiles, the need for a variety of aluminum profiles used in combination, the customer company's designers will merge the two moulds into one mould, think that this can save a lot of things. In fact, I would like to say that this will delay things. We once had a customer who operated in this way. Originally, two pairs of moulds should be opened, one with very thin wall thickness and the other with very thick wall thickness. Then the design was changed and the two moulds are merged, resulting in the almost scrapping of the moulds, which were tried and changed, and only qualified after many times of moulds trials. It was very difficult to produce because the difference in wall thickness was too big.
4. Custom aluminum profile mould belongs to who?
Custom aluminum profiles have to open the mould, the mould fee is generally the customer out (if a year's purchasing volume reaches a certain tonnage can be returned). Then the ownership of the mould must be the customer's, there is no doubt. But the moulds are generally customers will not take away, but kept in the manufacturer. Because the custom aluminum profile customers generally will not only order goods once, the customer themselves to take back is not much use. The factory has a special mould warehouse to store the moulds, and the moulds are made of H13 steel, which is not easy to damaged. Some customers will want to take the mould back for some special reasons and change to another factory for production. I advise you to try not to do so, and think about which one you want to do it in before you open the mould. Because every aluminum profile manufacturer has different extruders and different specifications for die pads and sleeves.
